Just that loose game early in the 3rd :crying:
Shame. Bit of a Keddercoaster too after me saying yesterday that we didn't have to go through them. He will be back though and do better.
Just too patchy from Kyle today. Shame, but oh well. Surprised and disappointed by Denis and the "incident". On a big point the other day the umpire came down to check a serve of Kohli's opponent and called it out, Kohli said you're looking at wrong mark and it's in. So sporting. That's how it's done, Denis.
Not to be today but lots of positives from the week. Onwards and upwards
Kyle not at his best today, but his best ever Masters run (by some way, never won more than once before and had four sucessive masters defeats before Madrid), A top 20 ranking next week (probably #19) and at #11 in the race, so plenty of positives this week
I had a feeling this match would be Kyle's undoing. The young Denis has a big game, a lot of confidence and there's history there (the infamous Davis Cup encounter). Not to worry - when Kyle is 'on' he's pretty much unbeatable, but with his aggressive style, there will inevitably times when the tiniest of margins will make a difference. I think he's doing great, top 20 is no mean feat and he's only 23, which by today's standards is young in tennis terms.
...and let's not forget the doubles title he won with Cam the week before. Good stuff...
Disappointed for Kyle but looking forward to the future. I really thought he'd win but Dennis played very well.
Kyle's match against Jaziri has just started in Rome.
