A pity but very tight and Emma closer than at Wimbledon, a contrast too with her loss to Anisimova in Montreal.

A good try. We can't be too disappointed as it was so close.
Another sinner/Alcaraz final in Cincinnatti, Jannik ended the run of qualifier Terence Atmane 7-6,6-2 (Atame had big wins over Fritz and Rune) and carlos got past an ailing Zverev 6-4,6-3. It was also Sinner's 24th Birthday on the day of the semis.
unfortunately Cash/Glasspool lost in 2 Breakers to Mektic/Ram,Salisbury/Skupski narrowingly missing out losing 4-6,6-3, 13-11 to Musetti/Sonego in their respective semis.
women's finalists will be decided today,Swiatek takes on Rybakina(who beat Sabalenka 6-1,6-4 in quarters) and Paoliini (who upset Coco Gauff ) faces Kudermetova.
Alcaraz takes the Cincy title (and hideous trophy!) after Sinner retired with illness.

The Ladies Final between Swiatek and Paolini is scheduled for 11pm UK time.
yes certainly a disappointment but could not helped, at least Sinner took to the court and hopefully does not take too long to recover. Still Alcaraz had found some impressive form in the tournament and it will be good preperation for the Us Open (even if circumstances not ideal).
Swiatek has just beaten Paolini 7-5,6-4 to take the title, well done and another boost!
Tournament felt like a bit of a damp squib with the various walkovers. Something for the ATP to note in a packed schedule? Toronto felt the same with the absence of the top names.
Toronto often has the absence of the top players but Cinci usually has the top names. Looks like there was a bad bug going round this year at Cinci.
Think there must have been Cazza but strange how it affected Alcaraz's last 2 opponents:lol:
