Forgot about the early start...
Will try and watch tomorrow. Obviously need to win the doubles.
Replays are on Tennis Channel I think.
We did win the doubles, but unfortunately Jacob Fearnley lost to Nishioka.
Deciding rubber coming up shortly.
Kei Nishikori wins the deciding rubber against Billy Harris 6 - 2, 6 - 3. I wonder who we'll get in the play offs and I hope we can get a home tie.
That certainly is disappointing, hoped Jacob Fearnley would come on top. However obviously was not strongest team.
Got up at about 4.30am and watched the very close doubles match, but didn't stay up for the singles. Billy's match was in the middle of the second set when I surfaced again, but sadly he just couldn't quite get it.
Chile lost their Davis Cup qualifier against Belgium when Cristian Garin refused to continue playing after being knocked over by opponent Zizou Bergs.
Having seen the video, it's extremely careless of Bergs to not notice his opponent was going to be walking past the net at the same time as Bergs was pulling his stupid gesture.
Although I don't think Garin was injured by the incident, he was certainly shook up and I'm surprised Belgium have claimed the win.
Neither side will want the tie replayed, playing the final rubber is impractical as both players will have their own schedules, so i think the ITF need to step up, award the tie to Chile, and send a message that over zealous celebrations won't be tolerated like this.
