Re: Health and Ailments thread
Poor Maureen. You have had so much stress lately it's little wonder you are poorly yourself. You take care...you must get well before your trip to Canada. You will be needed there in good voice!! Look after yourself and I wish you a very peaceful new year.
Re: Health and Ailments thread
So sorry to hear that you have been poorly, Maureen but, as Pat said, it's not surprising, given the stressful year that you have had. Keep taking the tablets, stay warm and save your energy for cheering on Andy tomorrow.
Re: Health and Ailments thread
Aw Mo, sorry you've been feeling so rubbish - look after yourself and feel better soon :grouphug:
Re: Health and Ailments thread
Sorry to hear you were ill over Christmas.
I had my annual visit to the mechanic this morning, and although there are more signs of loosening in my hip, it looks like I have escaped the knife for another year, which pleases me no end.
Re: Health and Ailments thread
So sorry to hear that you haven't been well SG, I really hope you're feeling better now.
Re: Health and Ailments thread
Aw Maureen, that's not what you needed over the holidays! :grouphug:
Glad to hear you're missing the knife Teresa!
Re: In Sickness and in Health
Hi all, just a wee quick post, we've had a crazy month or so. Hubby's dad took ill in March, a massive stroke early one morning. My mum in law fractured a bone in the base of her spine getting him back into bed while waiting for my hubby to go along and for the ambulance to arrive. He was then taken in to hospital where he responded by opening his eyes a few days later, actually within hours of the deadline to turn off machines. Sadly he passed away at the beginning of April. During the time he was in hospital Derek, my hubby, wakened me to say he thought he was showing signs of a heart attack and turned out he was right. Test showed he had had it that morning, must admit we actually laughed when the test came back, 142 instead of around 14. We just laughed at the ridiculous timing and how crazy things were. As most of you know we are carers for my brother who has Downs Syndrome and we had had a few hours respite for him, which turned into 2 weeks! Anyway all settling down now. we were supposed to be in Italy over easter which means Philip (my brother) is on hols in respite so we are off to stay at the Culloden hotel which we got for booking our daughter's wedding there last September. (just priced it and some eejits pay £820 for what we've got) :) Anyway I thought you would like a wee update, I am still following the tennis and hoping Andy really is healed properly and ready for the red stuff! Will be in touch :) thanks for being our sounding board :grouphug:
Re: In Sickness and in Health
What a rotten stressful time you've had. Hope you can now enjoy a relaxing break and here's to Andy getting some results to help cheer you up!
Re: Health and Ailments thread
I had noticed you hadn't been posting, Claire. So sorry to read about all that you have been through. Have a really relaxing, restful time in the Culloden. You so deserve it. Nice to have you back on here again. Take care. x
Re: Health and Ailments thread
