She didn't tell me that, Mickey, and she's the oncologist!!
I received three letters, yesterday. One was a copy of the letter which the oncologist had sent to my doctor's receptionist complaining about them not co-operating on my usual injection which is due next month. The second was an appointment for the oncologist to phone me on 19th October. The third was for me to go to the hospital on the 2nd of next month for an injection and a scan. Why they had to put the letters into separate envelopes is a mystery, as I would have put them all in one envelope.
Sorry I think you might find I’m right, but …..
Yeah I mean who knows? I am finding out that b-c treatment seems to be a lot different in the UK than it is in my country of Canada. Good luck, Stell no matter what. I feel for you x
Finally got my usual three month injection booked for the 9th of next month at my doctor's surgery. November's one will be at the hospital
The mental health people didn't turn up, last Thursday, as someone's car broke down. They'll be coming next Friday.
I had another blood test, today. I went to the hospital and went to where they do it, only to be told I had to go to the renal part of the hospital. It was a very long walk. But, when I got there, I was checked in and told to sit and wait. The receptionist then told me, I was in the wrong place and told to go back. I did and had no problem. I should get the result tomorrow.
When I arrived at the hospital today, to have my scan, I was told that my name was on the waiting list for a CT scan. But, as I was there, I'd been squeezed in to save me having to go back. The oncologist is supposed to be phoning me on the 19th October with both results.
19th October??
That's what my sister said, clancy. It's normal for the scan result, but, the oncologist will know the CT scan result before the end of this month.
The mental health people turned up today. They reassessed my dad and were worried about me. They believed I need more support, but could only offer to send me leaflets and recommend my dad's doctor to give him another tablet to take on top of the other three tablets.
A man from the mental health people phoned me, yesterday, to say my dad's prescription was on the way. But, he can't start taking the extra tablet until next Friday. They want to see how he's getting on, on the 13th of next month.
