Halep is back to playing tennis at Miami.
Sabalenka might not play Miami; her boyfriend, Konstantin Koltsov, has died suddenly aged 42. Russian press mentions a 'detached blood clot' as the cause. He was in Miami to support her in the Masters 1000 there starting this week.
Apparently, Iryna has cancelled her practice sessions so her participation in Miami is now in doubt.

Laura's had great success with Nottingham. So, I'm not surprised she's been chosen for Queens.
Mirra Andreeeva, aged 17, has just beaten Sabalenka for the Indian Wells title,
Youngest champion there this century.
2'6, 6'4, 6'3.
:trophy:
She's coached by Conchita Martinez.
How many e's? :D
I heard, on radio five live earlier, about Fran Jones fainting in the deciding set against Julia Riera in her first round match in Bogota. I hope she's okay.
women's US open final tonight is between top seed Aryna Sabalenka and 8th seed Amanda Anisimova. Anisimova turned the tables on Iga Swiatek in the quarters 6-4,6-3 and had a tough match with Osaka before going through 6-7,7-6,6-3. Sabalenka came from behind to beat Jessica Pegula 4-6,6-3,6-4. Hopefully Amanda is more confident in this slam final.
posted here as problem for me in US Open Thread.
Sabalenka takes it 6-3,7-6(7-3) . Pity there was not more consistency from Amanda to really challenge but more comfortable this time around , even if not particularly confident. Did have a flourish from. 3-5 down in the 2nd but it was too late. Still Aryna was the better player and a worthy winner, retaining the title.
WTA OSAKA.
Good R1 win for Katie Boulter over 2nd seeded Noskova (WR17).
In R2 she's scheduled to play Sorana Cirstea.
WTA NINGBO
R1 - Emma Raducanu is due to play Chinese WC Zhu tomorrow 9am UK time approx.
Thank you Sally
Emma lost in 3 sets.
Certainly disappointments for Emma in last few tournamemts, even if conditions a factor. Zhu outside the top 200 but came through 3-6,6-4,6-1. Katie lost to Cristea in Osaka 6-3,6-1 (at least had a big win mind you).
