Emma is back! As said elsewhere, she won her first round match in Auckland in 3 sets and plays Elena Svitolina in round 2.
Watched it and pleased for her she got over the line in her first match back. Close!
Great to see her back but very worrying to see such injuries so early in her career. Quite often if they start off like that they don't have a long career. Look at Laura Robson.
Good that Emma got the win in tight encounter in first match back, will be much tougher with Svitolina mind you. Just hope that she her fitness will improve over time.
Is there anywhere to watch the match not on Sky?
Usually bet365 has livestreams of tennis matches.
Svitolina won 6-7 7-6 6-1 but it took nearly 3 hours!
certainly Emma competed well in the first two sets so hopefully positive signs.
Emma has reunited with childhood coach Nick Cavaday for Australian Open and after. Report on BBC Sports webpage.
Unfortunately Emma has pulled out of the Melbourne Park exhibition event she was due to play in this week. Hopefully it's only a precaution but....
Emma has now pulled out of another exhibition match. She had strapping on her thigh during the Svitolina match, which was a long match. Just hope she can have an injury-free season and be able to find her true tennis level without such problems.
Emma lost 6-0 7-6(6) to Kalinina in the first round in Doha.
Yes - just watched it.
Did you watch on Sky by any chance? Just wondering what the new service is like?
Looks like a poor start, pity Emma did not take the set point in the 2nd.
Well done Emma. She won 6-2 6-3 against Masarova.
Seemed fairly comfirtable, well done Emma! Tougher against 30th seed Yastremska next mind you.
Yastremska had to retire 0-4.
Emma's next opponent will be the winner of Sabalenka and Stearns which is the night match tonight.
Sabalenka serving for the match; Emma had break chances at 40-30*
and has stopped Saba from taking Ad for the match 3 times now.
;)
But the Russian has finally got over the line ... 6'3, 7'5.
And that's the end of British singles interest in Indian Wells ...
Was going to be a tough ask, looks like a good effort from Emma though.
Emma has withdrawn from Miami - apparently a lower back problem.
What a shame. Just when she is back to playing well again.
A pity ,hopefully does not take too long to recover.
It's the weight of all that expectation...
Hope she recovers in time for the BJK Cup.
First round Stuttgart Emma beats Angelique Kerber 6-2 6-1. After 2 wins against France last week can we say Emma is finally back?
I think it is a bit early to be sure , definitely positive signs though.
Emma reaches the quarter final beating Linda Noskova 6-0 7-5 but she will face Iga Swiatek next.
Good win, tough match up with Iga obviously.
disappointing result for Emma today in Madrid, lost 2 and 2 to an Argentine qualifier
Emma played well but the Argentine qualifier is vastly more experienced on clay.
Reports suggest Emma had a bad day(even if opponent played well), however appears she was fatigued.
No reason given but Emma has withdrawn from French Open qualifying.

Emma is into the QFs in Washington.
Currently playing Paula Badosa for a place in the Semis; Emma took the 1st set 6'4
