    Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020

The IOC has now changed the bidding process. For the 2032 Olympics, and onwards, two or three cities will be chosen from a shortlist. Each of those cities will then have a one year campaign to win it. The IOC won't decide the 2032 winner until 2025.

The 2020 Olympic and Paralympic organizing committee will be trying to make sure that ticket scalping doesn't happen, which often leaves to empty seats and the fans either miss out or have to pay more money. Tickets are expected to go on sale during the spring of 2019 and, though the prices haven't been released, the average price is expected to be Y7,700 per ticket (about 51 per ticket) and between Y25,000 and Y150,000 per ticket (about 167 to 1,005 per ticket) for the opening ceremony.
