    Cam safely through, Jake lost the first set 6-1 but is 4-4 in the second.

    Good for Cameron but has honour of playing Alcaraz tonight! Rublev was just too strong for Jake.

    certainly a turn up (though Cameron has had a few successes over Carlos before,last one in 2023), some great tennis to get the win and Alcaraz's error count crept up- well done!

    A pity but often the way after a big win and Vacherot was tough. Unfortunately Cameron could not convert any of the 5 bps whilst Valentin took his sole chance in the 2nd.

    As expected really after Carlos' early exit, Auger Aliassime had a good tournament and saved 5 out of 6 bps but a mistake in the 2nd set TB cost him. whilst relatively close in scoreline Jannik was a class above in the baseline exchanges.
