Clearly as the years go by there are going to be more and more matches that will need some common sense thinking. There are going to be ticket holders who will justifiably want to know whether matches will go to ... what? end of match? set? Players...... will want to know what is going on... about timing of sets played without roof / with roof. Etc. Perhaps have matches starting after a certain time always starting with roof,

Was on the edge of my seat with the time ticking closer. Baggy was ace, he could have stalled. I didin't like that the crowd started booing at him though, especially as he did get up before time so Andy could finish, and basically handed Andy the match at the end.
Glad Andy upped his game, it was abit lack lustre at first, but good to see he can turn it on when needed like the rest of the big boys.

Don't think he handed him the match.:confused: Thought Andy was excellent. Can't see any professional "handing a match" in a Major tournament to anybody, whatever the time and circumstances. At the beginning of the match both players were playing a little safe because of the windy conditions + some nerves. All players make errors but think Andy played well, especially under the roof.:cheer:

Well done to Andy for a thoroughly clinical 4th set. What drama! Was a race against time to try and get the match finished and kudos to Wimbledon for breaking tradition and allowing Andy to finish the Mach by playing the huge 2 minutes extra lol!

Came back from a 60th birthday party relieved to find my recording had worked, so stayed up till 2.15 am watching - felt sick towards the end in case the match would hang over till Monday. Relieved Andy got the win - not his best tennis by a long way - let's hope he's saving some of that for Monday. Cilic will have had time to recover and he's a scary opponent.

What an amazing match! You couldn't make it up, could you?! Well done, Andy Murray!! :cheer: I don't think Baggy let Andy win, what professional player would do that - I think he's quite a streaky player and he faded towards the end.

Just to clarify, I do not think Baggy "let Andy win" but I think in the last couple of games he did nothing unsportsmanlike to prevent Andy from being able to win on the night.

Yes it was a roller coaster and he could have played better although baggy played very well. He won though!

I noticed that andy's second serve has become faster - it was showing as about 120mph often which looks
to be an area they have been working upon.
