Andy is through to the Quarter-Final after a fine win over Milos Raonic.

He'll play Marin Cilic against whom he has a 6-1 H2H (http://www.atpworldtour.com/Players/Head-To-Head.aspx?pId=C977&oId=MC10).
The 6'6" tall Croatian posted his only win against Muzzah in 2009 here at the US Open.

This has the potential to be a close match - despite that H2H.

Well, if it is a daytime match on Armstrong or a night time match on Ashe makes a big difference (I am learning!).

If it is in the heat of the day, I think we can say Andy will not be as dominant as he was last night.

I have not seen Cilic play much this year but his ranking and power suggests that he is good enough to beat Andy if Andy is out of sorts in some way or other.
If Andy is on song, then he will be favourite to win.

In other words, Andy's to win or lose but I know which Andy I would like to see turn up to the match. Not sure if it was mentioned much regading the Lopez match but I got worried very early on because I felt Andy had brought a sarky attitude to court, not quite, but almost, Kev the teenager, and that always makes me nervous.
Last night the "here to do a job it is a slam" Andy was on show from the first point - that quiet concentrated unruffled personna - and it was an object lesson in concentrated serving, returning and court craft.

Hope to see that focused concentration from the word go tomorrow! C'mon Andy!

Cilic has come out with a game plan (probably devised by Bob Brett who has done his homework) and is executing it very very well. He's playing attacking tennis and staying accurate and focussed.

Andy is probably a bit miffed that he had to change court off Ashe and onto Armstrong which he doesn't like as much - and which suits Cilic's game better. He definitely doesn't have his game face on and has racked up a load of errors and lost his first serve.

There are signs of life from Muzzah though - he's now giving Marin trouble on his service games and finally producing some decent tennis himself.

He'll have to win in 5 sets if he wants to be in the Semi-Final.
