Phew! I think I will write that again. Phew!
That is going to hurt Simon because he should really have won over an hour ago.
Now a race to recover.
Well done Andy!
Well done Andy. I'm off to bed now.

Aww brilliant just in time :thanks::yahoo:
My goodness, I had so many code violations there. ;) What a battle! Well done Andy but next time............
The new guy in Andy's box (agent?) hasn't achieved the passive face when everything isn't going to plan. ;)

Well that was tough viewing but some exciting tennis even if patchy at times. Andy needs to step it up but credit for coming through such a match, just hope he can recover sufficently. Nervewracking but still got the thrills!:cheer::cheer::swingin::swingin:
Some nice and considered words about Sir Alex Ferguson from Andy in his interview. Hopes he'll be able to attend more of his matches "he certainly enjoyed the free hospitality and red wine at the US Open."

It was areal roller-coaster:coaster:[/LIST]
Well done Andy. The match with Berdy is going to be tough now. Best of luck anyway, Andy.
Berdychmust be rubbing his hands with glee - that's if he's not tucked up in bed already.

Another late night rollercoaster but success in the end. Hope Andy has another gear for Berdy!!

Andy's getting so good at toughing things out. Some of his passing shots were brilliant - which they had to be. He looked a lot calmer than I was at any time during the match. Well done to battle through and I do hope he has enough recovery time to deal with Berdych tonight.
Meanwhile, how on earth am I going to recover? I don't have an ice bath ....

What a match so nerve-wracking and I| missed him winning because I couldn't bear to watch, I was so convinced Simon would win it after all those match points went begging. Cannot see him having enough in the tank to deal with Berdych later but you never know?!

Phew... What a murraycoaster. Good result in the end. Couldn't watch the breaker but peeped between fingers at the last 3 points.
Tonight will be tough but he has picked up points to secure 2nd spot
Well done Andy and that was a late night for me given I've, unusually, got to work today! I think as well as investing in a hotel, Andy must have shares in a :sofa: company.........or one that sells false nails!
I really thought he'd given the wrong answer to Gilles question "When are you going to let me win, Andy?" "Never".............came the reply. But maybe he was just toying with Gilles in that first set ;)
Not expecting much against Berdy and I had predicted Andy to go out in the quarters so anything from here on in would be a bonus. Some media have been suggesting the field is now wide open for Andy but I think that's a rather optimistic view with some very rose tinted specs!
