Great 4th set from Andy and once they resumed he was completely focused with the task in hand. Faced adversity at stages in this match but magnificently found another gear, well done! Hopefully he is on his A game and plays a great match in the final with Djokovic, come on!:cheer::cheer::cheer::clap::clap:
glad that you were proved wrong !!!! no offense
Me too. I'm so happy right now. I just know he's winning the title.
Wonderful from Andy. Didn't take to JJ but he seemed to be gracious in defeat.
Some stats:
Andy is the 3rd British man to reach multiple Wimbledon finals since the Challenge Round was abolished in 1922. Only 2 other British men, Bunny Austin and Fred Perry, have reached the Wimbledon final since 1922.
It's Andy's 7th appearance in a Slam final. The most by a British man is 10 by Fred Perry.
Oh - by reaching his 13th Grand Slam semifinal overall, Andy has equalled Perry’s record for the most Grand Slam semifinal appearances by a British man. But you probably know that already!
He's also reached the final of the last 4 slams that he has played in. You could make that 5 if you decided to count the Olympics. Not too shabby at all.

Amazing!!!! So wish I could see it on Sunday now. Go Andy!!!!
So happy for Andy, 4th consecutive grand slam final (not counting the French), so proud of him. :yahoo:
I'm completely drained after that! Don't know if my nerves can handle Sunday! Cannot wait.
I foolishly took a look on MTF and immediately regretted it. So many nasty bitter little cretins on there.
Just Brilliant.....you have all said it all:strawberry:.......

Fantastic win! In the last two sets he looked unplayable again like he did earlier in the tournament.
Looking forward to the final - although Andy will have to start better than he has the last two matches.

That was truly awesome. Andy is proving every match that he is a champion and my admiration knows no bounds. He came out after the delay and he was determined to show JJ that nothing was going to stop him. I am so proud of him and so happy for him. I feel very positive about the Final. I've said this before but....don't you just love being an Andy fan?:yahoo::clap::worship::GBflag:

Andy Murray
21:43"I'm delighted with that. It was very tough - completely different to any of the matches I've played so far. He's talented and unpredictable and he gave me very little rhythm. The first set was a tough one to lose. The third set was huge and then the momentum was really with me."
Murray on the roof
21:45"It's a tough situation: I like to think it's an outdoor event and you try to play outdoors as much as you can. But I managed to regain my focus. I had a shower, spoke to the guys...[Janowicz] was on his phone! He seemed very, very relaxed for the semi-finals of Wimbledon - that's the sort of player he is."
Murray on his emotions at the end
Andy Murray shows fighting spirit.21:47"It was very different to last year. This year there was a lot of expectation on me to get to the final from early on. I was just delighted to come through and get another chance to play in a Wimbledon final. It will be a tough match [against Djokovic]. Him and Del Potro played an incredible match today. Novak is moving very, very well and it'll be tough."
21:50Murray adds that he's only played Djokovic once on grass - and that was at last year's Olympics. Says he'll keep that in his mind on Sunday. Djokovic leads the overall head-to-head 11-7. They will meet in a final for the third time in the last four Grand Slams. Murray win the US, Djoko the Aussie.

Isn't it just nice to see how happy he looks when the match is over and he is taking his 'bow'. I think since the Olympics, the US Open and his documentary being aired, he seems more relaxed and uses the crowd so much more, and thankfully the crowd responds :)
Soooo happy for Andy, and glad that JJ lost after his roofing larks. I thought Andy played well in that last set. A few blips in concentration earlier, but he got really riled with JJ about the roof and I think it helped him.
Here's hoping for Sunday, and that there is good support from the crowd and the Royal box!

It's been an amazing day of amazing tennis! So proud that the Wimbledon championships are ours and that they are so loved by others! Andy has done us all proud....but most of all, himself! What with today's match and the quarters against an incredible Verdasco he's surely going to be our first Wimbledon men's singles champion in however-many-years it is now! IT'S JUST GOT TO BE!!! Wow! Very well done Andy. Sorry I doubted you!
I have to say that I think that is the best I have ever seen Andy serve - certainly the best I can remember. Aside from the lapse in the 3rd set, that was a brilliant performance against an opponent who had a huge service and rather unexpected shot selction at times! Couldn't believe the number of dropshots - and they were mostly good too. Very hard for Andy to get into any sort of rhythm I should think.
So - another final. Djoko will be tough - but Andy beat him in the SF at the Olympics. A bit of light relief tomorrow, then it's back to the nailbiting and hiding behind the sofa on Sunday!
Very proud of Andy!!!

Really love that Andy proved that you can have all the fire power in the world but the right tactics and experience counts for more...really glad he showed him who's still boss! Jerzy was like the bond villain at one point! but all good at the end with the handshake. Other half had to put headphones on and stop watching because I was too loud lol oops.
I don't know what to do on Sunday part of me likes to watch it on my own as I can fully concentrate and be as loud as I want but then its also fun watching with someone else!
Wow yay another final!! :D
It's been good cheering and commiserating and cheering again with you all. Goodnight and see you all on Sunday! GO ANDY!! You're our man!!
Djokovic?
Is that the man Andy beat in the Olympic semi-finals, the only previous time they have met on grass?
Oh, and also the bloke Andy beat to win his first grand slam title at the US Open?

#Murray "Last year I'd played 3 semis in a row, first time I'd got through to the final. Different emotions. Relieved to go through."
#Murray: "Today wasn't quite the same, different feeling because I've got to position I've been in before where last year completely new."
#Murray: "Everybody would be (angry) you've got all the momentum with you, still light, it was 8.40 when we stopped still 45 mins to play."
Murray: "Once I got back on the court I wasn't angry, was a few mins. You don't have that anger when you go back on court." #Wimbledon
#Murray: "There's no reason to be apologetic. (Jarrett's) the referee, he makes those decisions. That's what he's paid to do, his job."
#Murray "I don't know if I'll ever have feelings like I did that day, winning Gold here at home Olympics. I'll never get do do that again."
Ah cazza - you beat me to this one, this time!! Wimbledon on twitter seems to be tweeting Andy's Presser directly as he says it. Someone is pretty good at tweeting in real time there..
#Murray on #Djokovic: "We have a professional friendship now. When we were younger was more friendly. I still message him sometimes."
Question to #Murray: What would Fred Perry say to you? Murray: "Why are you not wearing my kit?" #Wimbledon
#Murray: "Think I'll be in a better place mentally. Hope so because I've been there before. Hope I'd be a little calmer going into Sunday."
#Murray: "Winning 1st Slam after failing so many times at last hurdle - don't think anything will top that in terms of release." #Wimbledon
#Murray: "Winning #Wimbledon would be a huge achievement for any tennis player. Winning Wimbledon is the pinnacle."

In case you were wondering. Andy Murray is a very funny guy. Asked what he does before a final: "I watch TV. I don't go to a temple."
Wahey!!!! Well done Andy!!! Was really nervous before the match but apart thought he played pretty well in a lot of parts! Served pretty well :) and beat the roof and JJ! Really impressed with how he kept his cool!

Those tweets I've been reading on twitter and on here show that Andy is very relaxed and happy. He has a wicked sense of humour. Love him!!:worship::bravo:
I'm so happy Andy downs Jerzy Boy. He should really have been playing Del Potro but the latter made too many mistakes at crucial times but he was the better player today. I love the way Del P had the Joker's scrambling all over Centre Court. Pity for Juan M DP
Ben Rothenberg @BenRothenberg 1m
Q. What did you say to him after? JERZY JANOWICZ: I don't feel like losing against runner up, so I wish him good luck. #Wimbledon
Andy seems in a cheerful and jokey mood. Lovely! :)

Anyone got plans for Sunday?....
Hoping to outsource the care of mini moo so I can watch some game on the telly ha ha.
One of my work colleagues said today 'its the German grand prix sunday, don't know which to watch' I said 'There's 16 of them grand prixs a year, only one Wimbledon' to lots of laughter in the office!
Christopher Clarey @christophclarey 6m
Murray on agile 6-ft-8 Janowicz: "I think his physique is kind of the future of #tennis, the way guys are getting bigger and moving better"
I think they should lower the court at the side where the tall guys are to give the shorties a chance
Well done Andy. Played positively and well - focussed throughout. Raised his game from the last 2 rounds I think but as regards rallies he didn't need to do that much at an extraordinary level. Serving and receiving was key IMHO.
Seriously not impressed by JJ's attitude,
On the Beeb website,
'When asked about the decision to close the roof, the 22-year-old replied: "I don't care. What I can do? I care about myself. I don't care if he was angry or not."'
I know there will have been something lost in translation, but even so....GRRRRR!!
I'm afraid that's what winners are made of though........remember Tim Mr Nice Henman...........?

Yes, I felt he was trying to gain an advantage based on Federer's win once the roof was closed last year.
I was fascinated by his attitude - so 'in your face'.
Glad it didn't distract Andy; but rather added some 'sparkiness' to the match, which helped spur Andy on I think.
Well that was FLIPPING AMAZING!!
I was on centre court yesterday to see two awesome matches and guess what it turned out I had awesome seats too!! Gangway 205, Row H (exactly opposite the player's box and the commies box - the BBC commies box is underneath the player's box)

I think I did just about sleep last night but I went through about 10 Wimbledon finals and kept waking up at Match Point. Just hope Andy could put it all out of his mind and get some rest.
He'll n eed it
I too, was not impressed with his interview. Fairly disrespectful and trying to be clever as usual. He also said at one point that Andy had wanted the roof closed when he was 4-1 down. I did not see Andy speak to the umpire. I rarely dislike anyone but I have suspected this young man since I first saw him in Paris. I am so glad Andy brought him down to size. I am not sure it will have done any good. I am sure he realised what was going on in Paris and if not his team should. As far as I know he has not beaten any one of the top four since Paris although he hinted at it in an interview.
