I agree Sky are extremely expensive and far cheaper options are available.

On another point.... just logged onto tennis tv to watch Kyle. I wanted to watch from the start and there is a clear option to do this on their screen when you go to the match. I clicked it but it took me to the live match anyway :( If you want to watch from the start, not knowing the score, I'd be careful about this. It's probably best to wait until the match is over and then it's on their replay screen.

If you open the live match and are careful not to look at the score, you can use the bar at the bottom of the screen (on ipad / tablet) to scroll it back to the beginning. I have used this successfully a few times. Another tip is that if you go into 'schedule of play' section, recently finished matches that are not yet available in replays section are available here.

Thanks Teresa, I'll go with that. Would I be able to use my Fire Stick to cast it to my tv or does it only work with Prime?

From what I remember you can download the Free Eurosport App onto the fire stick from the Amazon App Store. You then just log into Eurosport and you are away.

I have already got eurosport from a yearly deal last year. Have it until early next year I think.

I have amazon prime built into my TV - can I access eurosport from the app on there does anyone know? Otherwise, I'll continue with Chromecast.

I would think so. As above just download the app, and log in.

Internet Explorer is getting increasingly outdated as Microsoft are pushing their new browser, Edge, instead.

In saying that, if you also have an old operating system on your PC, that won't help as you can't use Edge with it, and if you can't let us know what version of Internet Explorer you have or what operating system you have then I recommend you download and install Chrome or Firefox.

apologies for the silly question - which networks are showing Brisbane and/or the Oz open?
I can see that Brisbane is on Eurosport 1 but is it the full thing or just highlights?

I want to know which is most economic for me to sign up to for the month - tennis tv/amazon prime/Eurosport. (I know tennis tv don't do the slams). I now have a tv which doesn't work for tennis tv anyway.

Do you need to watch this through amazon prime once sbscribed or will it still work direct as well - eg on laptop or smart tv? It looks great value for money if you only wat Eurosport for 6 months. However if you want it for few more months than that then it does not make much difference.

Teresa, I am sure I have read that you have Amazon through your Firestick, well you just subscribe to Eurosport Player through that.

Cazza .. Yes has to be used through Amazon Prime,I use a Firestick for my TV, some Smart TV's have Amazon built in & I don't know what your has & not techy enough for the laptop...

Sorry folks not much help, but thought it was a good deal if only for the AO.

signed up for Eurosport at 1p/month - can't complain at that price even though I wasn't mightly impressed with the Eurosport coverage of Brisbane via Amazon Prime. very hit and miss imo. Perhaps it will improve for the Grandslam which is listed as being a feature of the bargain/service.

It should improve. There is usually streaming from every court so a big choice of matches to watch, and there are even commentary-free streams so you can escape any commie who is being particularly annoying.

This was posted on the newspaper thread but posting it here for the last bit. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/48609943

Meanwhile, the WTA has confirmed that Amazon has won the exclusive rights to broadcast the women's tour for the next four years.

Amazon's online channel Amazon Prime, which already has rights to 39 ATP men's events, (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/42014694) will broadcast a minimum of 49 tournaments in 2020.

Helppppppp!!!!!!!! :help: As I'm in the UK, I'm trying to figure out the mystery that is, which channel to watch tennis?

Queens - I thought was on BBC2, just looked and its a baking show. Queens was on earlier but has disappeared, maybe because of the rain delay??? Searched the channels but can't find Queens. There are plenty of WTA options but that's it. I know its supposedly on the magic red button as well but I cant find the red button!!!! My sons remote is worn out, so it is guesswork and everyone is out, which is why I was going to watch on tv.

Guess I will go back to Amazon Prime but if anyone can give me any pointers it would be appreciated.

Still no play due to rain delay. If rain stops soon it should be on BBC2 till 6pm - but they show other progs when there is no tennis.

Genbrit
18-06-2019, 15:00
Thanks exislander, I wondered if that was it. They certainly update the program schedule very quickly as it had changed to what they were showing. In the States we never know as it stays on the program that it should have been.

Is it not shown anywhere on tv after 6pm?

Has anyone else had problems trying to watch catch up of matches on Amazon Prime? I can watch it live or the highlights but not full matches on the tv. Although I can on pc. It says not enough bandwidth. Seems others get similar messages for trying to watch in general - for me it's just specifically the full match replays. Infuriating!

I am not sure but I wonder if the quality of amazon prime relates to how fast ones internet is.

Can't believe it - but Eurosport Player no longer works on my smart Samsung TV which I bought 2 1/2 years ago. This is due to Eurosport "improving their app". Should be able to access it on a firestick though.

One bit of good news though is that TennisTV app is now on my Samsung TV.

Its a bit crackers as before I was watching TennisTV on Firestick and Eurosport on TV and now they have reversed.

Glad I didn't go for Eurosport for Aussie Open if they having many problems you say. Was considering but decide not to because I won't able see many matches because of time zone. Also lucky for me Dad have Virgin TV so they have app watch Virgin TV channels on iPad and iPhone so I been watching Aussie Open Eurosport 1 and 2 through that instead.

I probably will get Eurosport player for French Open (need check make sure they do nearer time) since time zone much closer to here and worth paying for.

After yesterday’s 43mm of rain, condensation appeared on some of the camera lenses that feed our on-court match streams. This appeared on different cameras at different times as conditions warmed up.

I would guess the fact they have not shown many of the brits on Eurosport 1 or Eurosport 2 could be a result of the cuts.

If Amazon prime takes over then at least we will probably get all the matches. ind you I think the quality of the picture with Eurosport Player is better than Amazon Prime.

May not be needed now we are in the later rounds of the Oz Open, but if you go on the menu on the left and click on "AO" or the schedule icon above it you may possibly get more matches. I also note that they are not labelling the catch up videos properly with the match names.

have other people got emails re changing your tennis tv password due to them upgrading their "internal platform"? I assume not a scam. I don't have a subscription currently which they correctly mention but I do have an account.

I change mine over Xmas season last year.

Careful if you signed up to Prime, then signed up to Eurosport via Prime. I cancelled my Prime subscription after the aus open and was told the Eurosport would stop too automatically because it was only watchable via Prime. But then I still got charged. They are meant to be reimbursing but only after a lengthy phone complaint.

There's a couple of queries on other threads on how to watch events in Dubai and Acapulco.
https://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/t/teevee.gif

Amazon Prime is showing all ATP and WTA main tour events as of the start of 2020.
Amazon’s deals with the U.S. Open and the ATP Tour last until 2022 and 2023 respectively.
It has also won the exclusive U.K. rights to the WTA Tour from 2020 through to 2024, allowing it to broadcast up to 2,000 matches from 49 leading women’s events.
This makes Amazon the home of tennis in the U.K. (quote from Forbes).

ATP CHALLENGERS
Can be watched via the ATP website, go to Tournaments/Challengers/click on Live link.

Tennis TV
I'm not clear what they now show.
If someone can post below I'll add the information to mine here.

BBC
British grass court events will mostly be shown in some way or other. All of Wimbledon.

ITV4
Roland Garros. ITV4 have the rights until 2021.

ATP Tennis TV show many ATP events. This week there are matches from Dubai, Acapulco and Santiago. You do have to pay and admittedly they show only a few doubles matches - I can often find doubles and WTA on Bet365. (Tennis TV also has a library of "Classic" matches going back to 1990 - for example, you could replay Andy's many finals from 2016.)

TennisTV show nearly all ATP events except Grand Slam. Some ATP event miss out depend your country deal with TV rights. They very few. Maybe 1-3 a year missing. Singles mostly and there doubles if play on show court with camera.

Indian Wells cancelled so that means TennisTV not showing them and they email say will give everyone extra 1 month free for this.

Yes, I got that email yesterday and thought it was very fair of them to do that.

Now ATP suspended 6 weeks so wonder what TennisTV do. I assume that one free month cover it.

It is a pity Amazon Prime aren't showing replays of tennis last year or the BBC could show reruns of Wimbledon!

Now tennis TV extend subscription 90 days.

Eurosport Player has extended its sub by 30 days. No word of Prime doing something similar!

2019 match replays for tournaments Prime covered are still available, for instance Indian Wells/Miami.

Doubt Somehow that Prime will offer extensions as it not just Sports that they offer (even if that may be reason some purchased) Obviously they have not covered tennis for a while but Sky are now allowing customers to pause Sky Sports subscriptions whiist there is no/little live action.

The one thing I'd like to see the BBC show again is the 2015 Davis Cup final, as I've never seen so much as 5 minutes of it. I know Eurosport showed some highlights the day after but I was still travelling home.

Noticed there was a tennis channel on my Samsung Tv Plus Tennis Channel International. Seems to be mostly replays, documentaries. probably would not view an awful lot but appears to be free on the Samsung Tv platform. https://www.sportsvideo.org/2020/04/29/tennis-channel-preps-launch-of-international-streaming-service/

Dear all
Help needed. BT want to change my TV box which means I will lose my Davis Cup recordings for 2015 and others. Does anyone know of a contact name for someone who used to have all of these on DVD? I would like to upgrade the box but don't want to lose my recordings.

Any help is gratefully received (I put this on here as not sure of a more suitable thread.):thanks:
