Aljaz did manage something Kyle couldn't do which was to break Pouille in the opening set but got broken 5 of his 8 service games. Pouille played well, both power and finesse (lovely dropshots). Aljaz doesn't have the same power Kyle has to be able to hold his serves against such a player. Pouille's performances in Budapest also confirm just how well Kyle played on Friday in Rouen against him.

Yes Aljaz did have a medical timeout after the opening set for his blister, should have mentioned that, the way Pouille was playing he would still have won

I thought Aljaz played a great match (very impressive serving from him) and was more than capable of living with Milos. There was very little in it! He deserves a few days off now! He's had a long run.
A couple of little (trivial) observations...1. Such a shame the stadium was virtually empty! Hardly anyone there.
