"No one here has ever heard of Goffin". How disrepectful from Andrew Castle :grrr: Go David!
Where was Bouncy at the Davis Cup final?
I had the misfortune to be watching on sky 25 minutes behind. When they suddenly said if you want to continue watching the tennis go to red button! I went from 2-1 to 5-4 looks from here like a missed a break and a break back. Typicall of sky. I hate them. Could have said at the start that they'd be going to red button at 6.30 or so. Or in the hour run up show I watched until 6 before I had to pause for a while. But no. Oh well. Come on goffin

Yep, that super hooked bh by Goffin to make it 15-15 was all Andy, wasn't it?
Really enjoying this, now hold your nerve and your serve young Goffikins!

And Goffin said I'll take your return as well, because the next point was a screamer too. Keep channeling our Braveheart young Goffin, you won't go wrong

You know, this is one of those matches when you don't want anyone to lose .....but c'mon Goffin! (win, I mean, not c'mon and lose :rolling:)
Daveed mixing it up really well now.

I'd prefer Dimi to take it but fan of David too, befitting it's a final set! Goffin had blistering start but Dimitrov was able to contain him before gaining the initiative but couldn't quite keep the momentum and David has come storming back.
Anyone else noted the size of DG's back bone?

Only by a country mile.
Although I think he'd rather forget his last procession.
Daveed will remember it for a while though.

It's brilliant, I just hate that one of them has to be disappointed, wish it could be a draw.

Agree wholeheartedly, but I doubt the grace at the net would be through gritted teeth.

Gutting you missed some of the action and occasionally you do need to pause, they did mention the tennis would be going to the red button during the doubles (somehow darts is primetime viewing) It's also been on Sky Sports Mix (121) uninterrupted but that is now in Entertainment section!

What a final! And look what it means to them. Second best WTF final ever, after Andy last year. Huge congrats, Dimi  And so sorry Goffin, but will be cheering you all the way to the DC title next week
Andy's former coach earned his corn there, didn't he?
Wasn't massively bothered either way. Just a slight preference for Goffin. I really did feel he played the better tennis and really lost the match especially on that last shot..... he had Dimi on toast.

Awwww David looks gutted. So close to glory, yet so far. Better luck next week in the DC Final.
Tough luck Daveed well done Dimi.
Well played both wonderful stuff.
:clap::cheer::clap:
Re-wetting my appetite and really looking forward to our trip to the RAH Next week.
Well that was a nerve wracking match to watch, shame for young Goffin would of liked to see him get the win, but no problems with Grigor getting the win, new name on the trophy  Congrats to Grigor & David for an enjoyable match!!! missed Andy but enjoyed the whole tournament!!

I know, bless him  but DC was always a great tonic for Andy after a horrible loss, hopefully the same for David.

As much as I wanted it for Goff, it's also so nice to see Dimi coming good this year, the unfair hype since he was 21 has weighed on him.

Certainly a gripping and entertaining battle, well done Dimi in coming through with some great tennis!:cheer::cheer: :swingin: A lot of credit to Goffin too though for his gutsy display, some sparkling shots!:clap:, he just didn't have quite enough at the end.
Watching the presentation, you can't help but think of our Andy last year!!!

I can't believe the season is over already, seems like no time at all since we were rubbing our hands in glee when Novak crashed out of Aus....not knowing what Zverev snr had up his sleeve :-/ Top 3 matches of the year for me are Andy v Kohli in Dubai final :nailbiter: Fed v Rafa in Aus final, and tonight's match. Normally I'm really blue at year's end, but now just excited for Andy's return -2017 has had defintely its moments, but now roll on 2018.

I don't know what's wrong with the whingers on Twitter. I think it's been a fabulous tournament. I miss Andy and the other big guys as much as anyone, but can't be down on tennis just because they are out for while. I'm really looking forward to tonight's final. Two immensley watchable players and amiable characters, both going for what would be the win of their lives. What's not to enjoy. Good luck, Goff! Good luck, Grigor! :swingin::swingin::swingin:
Absolutely. Missed seeing aandy but had a fantastic day at the semis testerday, thoroughly enjoyed both matches and the stroke play of all players. Only blip was Jamie losing- fear I may have jinxed him after meeting him at breakfast and wishing him luck.

Same for me, thanks Themass15 for sorting out my tickets.
Great match, extra bonus it was totally stress-free:whistle: but saying that l am looking forward to watching LOTS of :nailbiter::sofa: matches once Andy is 100% fit and back playing tennis....come on Andy
Would have preferred Goffin to win but well done Grigor; he's paid his dues and always good fun but don't think he has much between the ears!

I thought the final was great and really worthy of a final match of the year. I did want Goffin to win but nevertheless the match was thoroughly enjoyable and STRESS FREE haha!

Pleasantly surprised by the success of this tournament - mind you, a straightforward win for Federer would have left me quite numb. Dimi definitely deserved it for playing the best tennis throughout the tournament, but thank you so much to Goffin for the best moment.
Big question marks over the Big 4 going into Australia.........definitely potential for a surprise winner.
Especially as at least 3 of the big 4 aren’t fit! Could be another interesting year!

Thought the standard of entertainment throughout was excellent, so many competitive matches, not the Fed procession that (i think) we all, had expected. Great to see Goff in the final and such a wonderful final, little doubt over the week that Grigor deserved his win and he looks the most likely of the challengers to win a slam, not surprised by Sasha going out, but he is young and has time to get more consistency. Sock was certainly the wildcard, scraping in from was it 24th in the world not so long ago and to reaching the semis a real achievement.
