I don't know where you are staying but just messaged my friend who assured me this restaurant is a four minute stroll from Princesa Playa on the beach front. Roy, he also says flat as a tennis court so John should be ok.
Da Bruno Sul Mare then good cos that's even closer for us, We're at the San Cristibal.
Thanks again SG.

Well I had a good butchers at the Menu's De Groupo and would you believe it No Darn Silky Gazelle any where.
Which shuttle did you guys use? So many bad reviews :(
Oh dear, it was through Hoopa and the transfer is provided by Viajes Rusadir. Has that had a bad review?
The Friday and Sunday matches start at 11am (10am GMT) and Saturday will start at 2pm (14.00pm) (1pm GMT, 13.00 GMT).
Leon Smith will name his team today, but we already know it.
Kyle Edmund, Cameron Norrie, Liam Broady, Jamie Murray and Dom Inglot.
It looks like the BBC will be showing next Friday's matches on their red button.
Not too bad as Spain choose Pablo Carreno Busta, Roberto Bautista Agut, Albert Ramos Vinolas and David Ferrer.

And don't forget Jamie and the Bomb.
That's what I mean. We've got a semi finalist, what have Spain got out of their team?
Talking of DC any news on James W? When does Dan’s suspension end?
I was thinking just the same thing today, Teresa, when the DC team was announced. We don't seem to have heard anything of James for months.

I truly hope Dan realizes the enormity of his actions and gets his act together, for his and all those who loved/love to watch him play sake's.
Just realised we haven’t got the physical tickets yet! Do we have any arrangements for getting them as we wouldn’t want to arrive at the venue in Marbella empty handed!! I have PMd Sally as maybe I have missed it on this thread.

No, you haven't missed it and I've not had time to reply to your PM.
I got the tickets on Monday and haven't sent them out as I've been working 12hr days this week.
Will give some thought today whether to post (which won't be until Friday earliest or Saturday) or
take to Marbella and issue there sometime on Thursday. I'll let you all know tomorrow night.
Dan will be able to play again on 24th April, so not long for him to wait.
Apparently those who bought their tickets direct from the LTA have received an email with loads of useful information such as how to get to the venue and what you are allowed to take in. Perhaps some kind soul would like to copy & paste it here?

I would prefer getting them Thursday in Marbella. Rubbish post here.
We don’t get to Marbella until the early hours of Friday so we’d have to meet you at the venue I guess. Perhaps need to swap mobile numbers!!
https://www.lta.org.uk/major-events/international-events/davis-cup/dc-visitor-info/ Some information for those going. Notable things - you are allowed to bring food in but no lids on bottle and no glass. You are allowed dslrs but no lends above 300.
Worryingly no umbrellas so if there is a rain delay find your nearest shelter lol
It also mentions free buses but no times

Hi all just a couple of things we thought of as we packed our cases.
1 Is there any colour we should/shouldn't be wearing??
2 As there has been no update on the tickets I will be pm'ing Sallydaisy and just as a back up sending my mobile to Jerry just to make sure we get to know what's happening.
But I'm sure we will be able to access the forum when we are there.
See all who are going soon.

We are requested to wear blue. Do not wear red and yellow as these are the Spanish colours.

DAVIS CUP T-SHIRTS

Please note - I've given the LTA a size breakdown based on my memories of what you all looked like when I saw you last so erm, please don't beat me up if you look 'shrunk in the wash' due to Xmas overeating or New Year diets.

A QF in Glasgow would suit me just fine. I'm going to a conference there 9th-11th April, so could roll straight from the Emirates Arena to my conference at the SECC. Come on Boys (and the Germans) - it could work really well for me.

Out of interest to those watching in Marbella, have the British there all travelled out or are some expats? You are so loud! #bestfans
Shame we are not getting to see our forumites at all on TV ... wrong side of the court, all the crowd shots are of the opposite side. They’re not getting the sun either. In summer I’d be glad if that but at the beginning of Feb some sun would be welcome I’m sure.

Firstly no worries supergran :) already travel agent to two others what's one more :) it wasn't a problem, thank you for your thoughtful gifts, you didn't have to, and it was appreciated. Also thank you for sorting the meal. It was lovely and a great choice of venue. As for the walking it was mostly Kev, as Nicky pointed out more than once (I got your point :p :) :) ) he is a gentleman.
Thanks to Sally as usual :) and thank you for the Tshirt :) I'm sorry we missed dinner with you guys on the last evening. We had a wonderful time, great company on the walk to and from the venue everyday. Great company at meals and post match drinks. The tennis wasn't bad either. Regardless of the result. Topped off with a dolphin watching trip from Gibraltar on our last day.
We first abandoned the LTA in favour of the forum for Serbia and have never looked back. It's nice to have other shouting themselves voiceless rather than giving you 'that' look. I think it makes a difference to the players and even though the looks never stopped me, it's better not to get them at all. I really hope that we can make it to the September tie, we can do away though not A very expensive one like Japan. I don't think Liv can do away because she goes to the states on the Sunday of the tie.
Anyway thank you again to everyone in the forum who made the weekend fantastic. It was a great start to the year after a rough end to last year and was exactly what we needed. Fingers crossed for an accessible tie in September.

Just like to echo thanks for the weekend and the company and for Sally's organization and those who organized the meal. Great weekend of tennis - rewatched Cameron Norrie's last match on iplayer and it showed how well he played.
I have still to rewatch the matches, but going to be next week now when I get a chance to sit down and watch them all now.....and just to echo my thanks to Sally for the fantastic tickets......
