The ATP Tour Final is for the 8 highest point earners in the ATP Calender Year.
Those in positions 9 and 10 usually become the 2 Alts.
Some players are not in contention, despite being high up the list, due to injury so Final positions depend on any withdrawals.

The 'Next Generation' event is in Milan, 9th - 13th November, for which some on this table automatically qualify and therefore might not participate in the Tour Final.

There are further events, and points on offer, until the end of the season
and which will also affect placings, as follows:-

W/C 18th Oct: Antwerp 250, Moscow 250
W/C 25th Oct: Vienna 500, St Petersburg 250
W/C 1st Nov: Paris Masters 1000
W/C 7th Nov: Stockholm 250

Based on actual points to date, up to and including the
Quarter-Finals of Indian Wells, these are the protagonists:-

6. Berretini ITA

Race to Turin - final sprint
There are now 22 players (Garin and Fognini are out) still in contention for the last 2 available spots. Some with fairly decent odds (Ruud, Hurkacz, Sinner), some with just the maths needed to still keep them alive - and only 3 weeks to go.
Here are the 22 ..... in current order.
Ruud
Hurkacz
Norrie
Sinner
FAA
Karatsev
PCB
Basilashvili
Schwartzman
Shapovalov

Just 6 left in contention for the last 2 places +/- 2 Alt spots for Turin.
Ruud
Hurkacz
Sinner
Norrie
FAA
Karatsev

Sinner is currently knocking 6 bells out of Ruud and that could alter the placings tonight and especially if Sinner beats Tiafoe and reaches the Vienna Final. Alcaraz can't make Turin, Zverev (his SF opponent) is already qualified.

Update ... 3 & 1/2 players left in the Race to Turin:
Ruud has 3195
Hurkacz 3045
Norrie 2955

1/2 ... Sinner unlikely now unless the above 3 lose in R16 and don't win any matches in Stockholm whilst Sinner wins that event.
It's complicated ...

Auger-Aliassime (OUT)
Karatsev (OUT)
Carreno Busta (OUT)
Basilashvili (OUT)
Schwartzman (OUT)

Bautista Agut (OUT)

For information ... and bear in mind that in the ATP Race players only ADD points.
In the ATP rolling Rankings points go on but they also drop points - refer to the individual player profiles to see how their Rankings are made up. It's complicated.

ATP1000 Ranking Points per round reached ie. PARIS MASTERS
W: 1000, F: 600, SF: 360, QF: 180, R16: 90, R32: 45 (Seeds 1-8=10), R64: 10

ATP250 Ranking Points per round reached - 28 draw (top 4 seeds = Bye) STOCKHOLM
W: 250, F: 150, SF: 90, QF: 45, R16: 20 (Seeds 1-4: 0), R32: 0

Sinner played very well last night and outplayed Hurkacz 6-2,6-2. A tight one with Medvedev and Zverev but the Russian came through in a 3rd set breaker.

Cameron Norrie is now scheduled to play Casper Ruud this evening. Best of luck, Cam.
Stefanos Tsitsipas withdrew from the ATP Tour Finals with a right elbow injury
hence the need to call up Cam.

Ruud beat Norrie in their first ever encounter at the Final of the San Diego ATP250 on 3rd October with a winning scoreline of 6-0 6-2, which was his first ATP hardcourt title.

Deuce.

Ad Cam after a bit of an argument settled by Hawkeye.

Sallydaisy
17-11-2021, 21:19
C'mon Cameron - it was just 2 poor points in one game that cost you that set.
Now regroup and play as you did in Set 1.
Fair to say that Ruud hung tough and hung on in and took his chance when it came.

JAMES4578
17-11-2021, 21:19
Unfortunately with Ruud stepping Cameron faltered somewhat and now into 3rd, hopefully regroups well- come on!

Could not stop the tide as broken at 2 all, however holds for 3-4- come on!

Ruud wins 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. Cam has another game to play but it's very unlikely he'd now progress to the Semi's. The experience will be worth it's weight though ...

I think he will get a reasonable amount of dosh too.

JAMES4578
18-11-2021, 23:16
It certainly became exciting between Medvedev and Sinner , after Daniil had a 1st set bagel two really competitive sets even if was somewhat academic with the Russian already through whilst the Italian could go no further. Two TB's but Medvedev took the final set breaker 10-8 after being a break down in the set at 2-4. Whilst would have liked Jannik to get the win he can take the positives in the fight back and think best match thus far!

JAMES4578

Looked as if it might go against him after the 2nd but Zverev strong in the 3rd as he takes it 7-6,4-6,6-3- well done! Will face Medvedev again in the final.

Sallydaisy
21-11-2021, 17:39
Zverev takes the Title 6'4, 6'4 over Medvedev - his 2nd ATP Year End Trophy!
:trophy:

Served bombs and Daniil couldn't find a way to break serve.

JAMES4578
22-11-2021, 11:02
I was expecting closer contest but Zverev was strong and Medvedev got not find way back. Sascha certainly turned the tide as Danilll had won their last 5 matches. Anyway thought the first year in Turin went pretty well.
