ITV will be showing Princess Eugenie's wedding next Friday between 9.25am and 12.30pm. Why?!!
Hope they show it on Cdn tv. But no one has even mentioned it over here.
Monserrat Caballe has died aged 85.
My Australian cousin has told me, they'll be showing the royal wedding over there as well.

I think I'd sooner watch a Royal wedding than Jeremy Kyle and Loose Women, which is the usual ITV morning fayre. At least The Royal Family don't fight each other in public !!
I've just seen the new £20 note, which will be coming out in 18 months time and will feature JMW Turner on it. The old £20 note will be going sometime in 2020.
Another slippery note then.
The government wants a crack down on people who try and get free prescriptions. I'm entitled to having a free prescription, but I think I sometimes see people try and get their tablets and medicines for free on prescriptions.

I can see why people would try (I don't) the cost of prescriptions is getting silly!
I bet you there will be lots of cockups when it starts as the correct data will not be on the new computerised system.
I think it would be fairer if everybody paid something. I have a lot of medication for my Rheumatoid. I pay £104 a year, and for that I get as many as I need.

I was thankful that there are free prescriptions as Alan was on a lot of medication. Having to pay for care, buying a stair lift etc which is free if you're on benefits took a large amount of our money. Having both paid National insurance I think we're entitled to free prescriptions.
I'd say "move to Scotland" but we don't really want you! :pirate:

Gosh that's brutal! I don't know what it's like in the UK but here in Canada you only get your first mammogram when you hit 50 then every three years from then. So young women, unless they can feel a lump or see a change in their breasts, get overlooked until often it's too late. Scary. It happened to my step niece a couple of years ago when she was 34. She could only feel her lump when it was over 6 cms big!!! Screening is so important. I think women should start the process when they are 25 or 30 at least not 50.

Back in 1991 just before I left Scotland to go to Canada, me and my friend Amanda were shopping on Princes St in Edinburgh and were just about to cross the road from the Balmoral Hotel when we spotted a wee commotion. Sean Connery and his wife were either coming out of or going in to the hotel - he was in the city as he was being awarded the Key/Freedom to Edinburgh. Anyway, we both screamed and waved to them and they waved and smiled back. (Also his brother, Neil, used to drink in the little pub I worked at, always angling for free drinks.) Great actor and a fierce Andy Murray fan to boot! RIP Sir Sean Connery.

Lovely bruised knees. Ha ha!!

The Royal Family will be in "official mourning" and there'll be some changes to schedules in other areas of government life to accommodate that.
