In tears again!
Admittedly not as much as I was when he won the USO. Even when he had those three championship points although I wanted to believe, I know what an immense competitor Novak is, and he won the first two championships points from Muzza. BUT Muzza's won it!!!!!
I know what they mean by Muzza not believing it, I know I still haven't fully taken it in. Well done, and here's to many more!
Ive just stopped the tears , I am so thrilled for Andy and for the whole UK !!!!!!!!!!!

Andy now the current holder of 2 slams, with 1 for Novak & Rafa, don't care what the rankings say, that makes him the worlds best player in my opinion. But just to set the record straight it's time to go on a run of domination over the American hard court swing and get the title officially as well as defending the U.S. Open. Congratulations Andy the worlds greatest player :-)
Just about calmed down enough to write something! I was crying through most of the last set -don't know how he managed to serve in that last game but he did it! Followed him for 9 years and now he's won the biggest one of all:yahoo:

By the way, who were the two men in blue suits, I think in the Royal Box, that BBC cameras kept homing in on? I'm sure I ought to know but I don't always listen to Bouncy Castle so I missed that!
I can still remember so clearly the first time I saw him play Wimbledon as a scrawny youngster who couldn't go more than three sets! Just about calmed down enough for it finally to sink in. Been reading all the posts, especially from familiar names who i have shared the high and lows with over the years, since i saw Andy playing Queens in 2005 on the beeb then joining the original forum when there wasn't quite as many of us. Been quite a journey with many great moments but this seems the one I have been waiting for, the moment when the green green grass of home belonged to Great Britain once again.
Well done Andy, you deserve it for you have given everything to the pursuit of being the best in the world. It is a privilege to be your fan today and always.
All these years supporting Andy, following Andy and watching his tennis. I'm am so darn proud to be an Andy Murray fan and belong to such a heartfelt and utterly fanatical Andy Murray fanclub on this forum! I suppose it doesn't really matter, because I don't know what to say. I'm so thrilled, there are no words to describe it. Somewhat *hic* at the moment - and it still hasn't sunk in (not the bubbles, the win!!). Am soooooo delighted for Andy and I can't wait to get to work tomorrow to see the faces of the nay sayers.
Mr P earned himself innumerable brownie points today starting with this surprise when I went into the lounge:

Then he watched the whole match with me (usually gets too tense and has to leave) and finally had some bubbles (unbeknown to me) on chill so we could celebrate afterwards.

Andy's grandparents must be sooo proud , an extra special moment for them both im sure

WOWWWWWWWWWWW!!! Ok.......Wimbledon........next?.........#1
I'm sort of glad the last game went the way it did with all the deuces and break points........sends a strong message out to opponents in the future.
Just seen our boy on BBC2.......wonderful.

It's times like these when I think back to Wimbledon 2005. I was bitterly disappointed as had tickets to first Friday and Saturday centre court expecting to see Tim Henman but he had got knocked out 2nd round. I can still remember me and my parents having a little joke - well we get to see Andy Murray (he was an 18 year old wildcard at the time). Never in our wildest dreams did we think he would become Wimbledon Champion, it is just crazy to think of it now! Just shows what you can achieve.

Don't let them get to you. The internet is full of those types who try to bring others down for no reason other than spite. Take a deep breath and get on with your life, that's the best way to deal with them as they crave attention.

Hi folks, apologies for the rather hasty post earlier - I was on my way out to a gig (you guys know I'm a musician, right?), and had left it to the very last minute to get ready because of watching Andy! :)
Today is special for me for so many reasons, it's hard to put it into words. First of all I can't help but think back to everyone who's ever taken delight in gloating at me because Andy has lost - I remember a text message that someone sent me when Andy lost to Roddick at Wimbledon those years ago saying "So much for Murray." It's wrong of me to think of those moments I know, but I can't help myself - it is very hard and dare I say upsetting sometimes to be a Murray fan, when you see someone that you respect and admire so much keep getting ripped to pieces. In the heat of sporting passion when Murray had just won I posted on my Facebook "To every Murray hater there's ever been, I say - UP YOURS!!!", which someone took offence to. In retrospect a bit too strong I agree, but the result just caused a lot of outpouring of emotion for me.
But more than anything else, I just feel this huge sense of pride that someone I have so much respect and admiration for has achieved something SO HUGE!! I know how hard Andy works and trains, and I know what today will have meant to him, his team, his family, the people of Dunblane (hope I've spelt that correctly) who have suffered so much - God, I'm tearing up as I think about it!! :)
Everything that's happened to Andy has been a step up - as much as last year's final loss hurt, I think it was necessary for the public (at least, most of them, lol!) to finally begin to see the Andy that we've always known as there. He's a very special person, and I truly believe that finally people are beginning to realise that just because he's not Mr. Charisma, that doesn't mean he isn't special in his own way. :)
I realise this has been a bit of a rambling post, particularly from someone who doesn't post here very often, but I wanted to share how I feel with all of you. Today is a special day. Whatever happens in the future, all of us will remember this day forever. Thank you, Andy Murray. :)
Take care... :)

... sooooooo glad to have been there to watch Andy win The Chamionships!

We were on a packed Court 2 (more comfortable than a square foot of grass on The Hill) and loved every minute of it - apart from the bits that didn't work when we know how hard Andy was trying. The atmosphere was wonderful but boy was it hot; 30 degrees and NO shade.
I'm so pleased for Andy to have finally won the title and hope he enjoys it once the reality has sunk in!!!
Magical, magnificent Murray!
And it's great to have so many like-minded folk on here to share this triumph - and no doubt the murraycoasters to come!
