Horrendous drive home from work today - managed to get away about 14:30, as I did some extra hours earlier in the week, but the rain was torrential. Motorway driving in those conditions is not fun. Fairly heavy rain + lots of spray on the M1, but then just as I got on to the M45 it started coming down in absolute bucket-loads . Had wipers on double speed and was probably only going about 45 mph or so, but visibility still almost non-existent.
I was very happy to get home in one piece to watch Andy though :big grin:

Very glad to see you had your priorities right!
Train home from York delayed by an hour due to flooding on the east coast mainline. The rain has my permission to stop now...

Uh oh ... my niece had a nightmare journey to London last Thur - they were meant to leave Perth at 11 but landslides closed the line so they ended up hiring a bus to take them to Newcastle then got a train at 4.25 am to London .... bunch of scouts on their way to Belgium for a big camp. They come home overnight tonight ....
It has been a lovely day here today .... raining now though ... typically.

Pretty miserable in Edinburgh ..rain this morning but at least dry at the moment. But inside watching Jjokovic & Federer and of course waiting on Andy to take centre court, so not too bothered about the weather :)
Welcome to the forum Zazu!

Hope you enjoyed watching Andy play!

Just had a massive t-storm that took out the sat. signal so had no tennis for about 10 minutes. Now sun is out again and it's hot.
Chucked it down for our village fete. Theme was the Olympics and as luck would have it our float was based on the synchronised swimmers, so getting wet wasn't an issue! We had a blast although we were frozen.

Just dismal.
What a wretched summer this has been weather wise.
Went to see the Olympic flame during my lunch hour yesterday and got drenched. It's been nice all day today!
On the plane home on Sunday night the pilot announced that the temperature at Gatwick was only 16 - it had been 36 in Madrid!
My daughter drove from Islay to Cambridge yesterday - went from 12 degrees to 22 degrees!

We had the thunderstorm just after Andys match finished, just as well it wasn't a few minutes earlier as i momentarily lost my satellite signal.
Still really hot and sunny here. Seems strange to think that it's raining at Wimbledon!
Oh dear it's absolutely hammering down here and Mr P is out on the golf course...........
