:rolling: your closer to relegation than you are the top ;)

We have progressed since last season, better points total and generally much better. We weren't expected to win the league this season, however top 4 was the objective and it will take some effort for us to achieve that. It is possible though. Anyways to get to Wembley is a fantastic achievement and who knows we could win a cup double. Suarez will be back very, very soon too. We can go on a run in my opinion and get champions league football. Kenny is building something here, and I am excited and 100% behind the man. After all he built one of our best ever teams in the late 80's.

as i said its nice to see little clubs make cup finals, but league is were its at and i would wager yur piggy bank they wont finish top six never mind top four

DaveArneRiise

That would be reckless. Signs are we are progressing and moving in the right direction, it takes time to break back into the top 4 and start challenging for titles again.

Talking about little clubs hows Celtic being doing in Europe over the last few seasons?

BTW not especially bothered about utd's loss although it compounded a poo morning. Fielded a weakened team and liverpool are unbeaten at home so fair dos, at least carroll did something for once. $5.5 by the time they pay RV the final payments plus the 20% sell on fee there wasn't enough left to make a bid on Templeton shame they never took the 7 mill from west ham or the 9 mill from the unknown club on the unknown planet during the summer:rolling:

Good 3-0 win for Liverpool at Wolves. Delighted for Carroll, played really well and Bellamy is on fire. Suarez will be back for the next match too. With Chelsea slipping, we are very much in the race for 4th. Along with the Gunners. It will go down to the wire. Newcastle could pose a threat too, many thought they would fall away months ago but they are still up there!

Pleased to see the back of Capello. Winning a few games against some mediocre teams in a Euro qualifying campaign won't make people forget about the abhorrent World Cup effort. He should have left after that but who could blame him for continuing to pick up his £6m salary.
After his egregious decision to publicly comment on an Italian t.v show, there was no alternative but to tender his resignation.

Very pleased with this. Big chance for English football to get it right.
Stuart Pearce for now, then Harry Redknapp after he finishes his season with Spurs, imo.

Arry might find the roll taxing

the more that came out the more I felt HMRC was barking up the wrong tree the tax he did pay and they freely admit he did pay it
what he "fiddled" was the equivalent to a fiver for most of us, never made any sense to me

just sayin

the problem with Capello was he never realised the importance of the captain in the English heritage going all the way back to Bobby Moore we just couldn't have an alleged racist as captain NEVER not in a trillion year once the trial date was put back the FA had no choice

personally he should never have being reinstated as captain after all the lurid headlines about his personal life both in regard of the disrespect for the financial perks of being england captain and the disregard for his marriage and friend

david1610
09-02-2012, 00:53
With a bit of common sense harry could stay Tottenham manager and select the England teams for the friendlies - after all, there is no club football during the International breaks. I know he would be doing other things behind the scenes but I think that would be the middle way to help club and country.

And I would love to see Harry give some England players a Tottenham like freedom to play football rather than implement tactic no. 97.

As a Liverpool fan I'm disappointed by Suarez's actions today. Today was a chance to just move on, ultimately he's let the club down he's let Kenny down and he's let himself down.

Maza1987
12-02-2012, 08:30
The only thing I care about is how he has let Kenny walk alone.
As far as he knew, he was going to shake and move on but he left him in a difficult position after his actions.

As a Liverpool fan, Suarez is not who will be remembered at this club, it is King Kenny. And I feel other 'Pool fans should think about protecting him rather than putting so much effort into defending Suarez.

The already relatively poor TV money would be even less without Sky getting their 4 OF games. tv revenue is peanuts, will it affect us course it will, but we will do just fine without then the positives far outweigh the negatives besides the bottom line is they deserve to go to the wall

Sky have a deal with the SPL that no Old firm = No SPL. So without Rangers that = NO Sky.

Scottish football would be in deep trouble if Rangers go bust.

I'm sad at the news, and can't understand why some would celebrate at the demise of another club.

why? simple they cheated there way to numerous titles they dragged all of Scottish football into a frezy of spend spend spend, with the stated aim of burying us

All the best to them if Motherwell manage to get a CL qualifying place, which coincidentally Rangers gained us by cheating. They'll still go the way of all the other clubs in Europe, our co-efficient will drop and we'll lose it. Or perhaps clubs will live beyond their means chasing success and go out of business. Motherwell were insufficiently punished for their financial problems, have restructured and are now reaping the benefits. Perhaps the same will apply to rangers.

Today proves the point, RVP had 2 chances and 2 goals. He is a class act. I feel he will propel Arsenal to 4th. Very unlikely Liverpool will finnish 4th now, never know but it will take some turn around now. Anyways well done Arsenal.

In my lifetime Liverpool has won the European Cup and been Runners up.

Can't say i'm surprised this time round. If Ancellotti couldn't control the egos in the dressing room what chance did a 34 year old with very little experience (yes i know what he did with Porto) have? Someone on Radio 5 reckons the senior players will pick the team themselves which should be interesting.

david1610
05-03-2012, 01:43
At the start of the season Chelsea needed a manager who could renew the team. They still do.

What will be interesting is to see who will want the Chelsea job - unless your aim is a few million in the bank should the recent pattern be extended.
Of course it would be somewhat ironic if Mourinho came back and the manager who managed to end the present team was the one who created it in the first place! If Guardiola wants a new challenge, Chelsea will certainly present him with one!

P:S: Can Gerrard and Lampard play together... oops, can Mata and Lampard play together?

Yes! Must admit I would like to see Lampard, Terry and Drogba in action, as Drogba and Lampard in their prime gave a lot of good footballing viewing. And if Benfica win I will probably get to see Messi as well! (This is presuming that Benfica do not cash in on the games and price them out of my reach!!!).
Chelsea will have to keep playing like they did this week, though, as the only reason Man U. did not lose to Benfica in the group stage was Benfica gave them too much respect rather than just going at them...

Edit DaveAR... I think you might be right.... it is such as expensive squad, to finish without a trophy at all may be difficult for him, unless the owner has more patience than other billionaires. Just not sure why Man City were so flat for 75% of the Sporting games - da Silva looked a shadow of himself. Even with a big squad, perhaps they are overreliant on two or three players who may be starting to berunning on empty.

Liverpool booked another trip to Wembley, ahh not too bad huh.... how did Celtic get on J? Their European conquest next season should be fun if they can't even take care of the mighty Killie :rolling: and you say they will survive without Rangers.... the grave has been dug for Scottish football sadly.

As for losing to killie these things happen in fact 2 days after humping your lot we got papped out the Scottish cup by ICT

what a joke of an organization
Scotland's 93 member clubs have been asked to make known any payments made to players not previously declared through official contracts (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17451592)

that's like WADA catching a drug cheat and writing to all players asking have they cheated to

Ref had a stinker tonight - we scored 2 cracking goals but St Mirren fans will be raging.

We weren't expected to win the league this season. So being 28 points off the top is irrelevant. A top 4 challenge was expected though so with regard to that it's been a massive disappointment. Success doesn't happen overnight though and we were in a awful state before Kenny came in. Still though a potential cup double could well mark the start of a monstrous reign under the King!

Not saying it's going to happen next season. Patience is key. We are financially secure and have a very good man in charge. Could take a few years before we challenge for the league again, but I'm confident Kenny is here for the long run.

As a converted QPR fan (i.e I hate Joey Barton, plus I was at the Bolton game), it's a great result for the R's. Jamie Mackie is a complete legend for many fans (and soon to be for Scottish fans too). To be fair, all 3 goals were very avoidable from a Liverpool point of view. Unbelievable goal from Coates though!!!

Congratulations to Killie the treble busters!

Lankster will be a happy bunny tonight!

I was just a tad happy. Unbelievable day for the boys. Cammy Bell was simply fantastic, particularly his 'Gordon Banks save' against Stokes in the 1st half.

Our goal was really well taken.

A real shame about Liam Kelly's dad. I think he was in the ambulance that went past us while we were walking to the train :(.

Lowered prices for game vs Motherwell so hopefully we can get a really good crowd in on Saturday.

Yea, was a excellent win for you guys could be pivotal come the end of the season. Have always been a fan of Cisse, he was unlucky at Liverpool... suffering two leg breaks didn't hep him out.

Celtic just need 4 points from their next 2 games (St Johnstone then Killie) assuming Rangers beat both Motherwell and St Mirren to tie it up. I know they just lost to Killie in the LC final but I wouldn't bet against them.

Just because we are 8th in the table doesn't mean all of a sudden we aren't a big club anymore and all our history has been erased. Going through a transition period and under Kenny there has certainly been progress. Ask Wenger (7 years without a trophy) what he would prefer, 2 cups potentially or 4th place? Got to give credit to Newcastle though, they have been brilliant this season and deserve all the praise they get. Pardew has done an outstanding job.
