Cheers, good news that then for the other SPL clubs. I really hope Celtic can cope without Rangers mate I really do but I have my doubts.
Yes that was a cracking header from Carroll. That's what he can do. He didn't have the best of the times last season by all means but towards the end of the season you could see glimpses of how lethal he can be when on form.
unmarked, but still took it well

That was diabolical defending for Sweden's 2nd goal. Defenders were marking grass... where the hell was "the leader" Terry...
Great strike from Theo! What a game!
Cracking finish from Welbeck.

Credit to Roy. His subs changed the game. Also starting Carroll paid off.
With Rooney available for the next match I wonder who Roy will drop. He might even leave Rooney on the bench.
I'd replace Young or Milner with Rooney.... start Rooney, Carroll and Welbeck!

surely gotta go welbeck and rooney next up. Play together all the time and welbeck has been our best player so far in the tournament. Harsh on Carroll after today but it's a good problem to have. Gotta drop milner though he's shocking
DaveArneRiise
15-06-2012, 22:17
Yea valid point. Welbeck has been impressive, I'd say Gerrard has been England's best player thus far but I guess that's from a biased view point....LOL
I'm not sure I'd say I enjoyed that - some of the football was desperate stuff - but it was worth it to see Welbeck's goal. I just watched it again at full speed and it's just incredible. :worship:
there was talk sky would accept a deal that the rangers(2012) drop down a division for one season, but as the SPL & SFL are separate organizations there was no mechanism to demote them.

DaveArneRiise
18-06-2012, 09:15
Premier league fixtures have been released for the new season. Liverpool's first three home games are Man City, Arsenal and Man UTD. Tough start for Rodgers. It's good to play the big guns early on though IMO especially at home. UTD are notorious slow starters and Arsenal were appalling at the beginning of last season.

Fantastic well don England. Thoroughly deserved. Gerrard was immense again tonight and named MOTM. Been England's best player without a shadow of a doubt this tournament.
Also though Terry was excellent and Ashley Cole is still one of the best left backs in the world.
Great that Rooney nearly got a full game for much needed fitness and got the all important goal in the process.

Dundee United have released a statement basically saying that the vote is no to newco!
The Board of Directors of Dundee United are unequivocal in the belief that a form of sporting punishment must form part of the reasoning behind any decision made and, therefore, cannot vote the newco into the SPL. General sporting integrity and, more importantly, the integrity of Scottish football must also play a significant part in the decision making process. It is our belief that any form of sporting punishment must be unambiguous in the message it displays.

strong rumour green telling rfff that they are getting 60 point penalty from last year thus relegating them ?
Can't levy that penalty unless they get voted in. And they finished 58 points ahead of Dunfermline last season if you discount the 10 point deduction, so not even 60 points would guarantee that.
DaveArneRiise

But if the vote goes against them doesn't that render the point penalty pointless as they would already be omitted for the league/

But if the vote goes against them doesn't that render the point penalty pointless as they would already be omitted for the league/depends on the order, the transfer only applys to the SPL license IF they rangers where to berelegated before the vote there would be no need to transfer the license and there fore no vote required

Very well put by Clyde. Rangers to SFL3 will hurt all Scottish clubs financially and could well lead to other clubs (Hearts possibly first?) going to the wall, but if integrity is to come before finance then a fudge to SFL1 is no better than laying out the red carpet directly back into the SPL.
FWIW I think Dunfermline should be Club 12 - if RFC had gone into liquidation during the season then the Pars would have stayed up, and if Duff & Duffer had done things conventionally then that might well have happened.
Still can't believe HMRC won't take action against D&P for mis-managing the administration.

Well done Spain! Rafa will be very happy! :cheer: :cheer:
Well done Spain! For a while in the second half I was willing them to be more aggressive for entertainments sake, but the Chelsea contingent took care of that when they came on.
Por eso yo quiero dar
Todo mi corazon
Yo te sigo a todas partes
Gracias por ser espanol
Congratulations to Spain on a brilliant performance.
Hope it cheered Rafa up. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Broing, boring Spain
Got to feel sorry for Alvaro Arbeloa - the only member of Spain's "first choice" 11 to have failed to make the "team of the tournament".
Busquets never seems to do much in a game, although I suspect they would miss him if he wasn't there.
What's the odds of changing to a secret ballot and SPL chairmen going back to self-preservation ahead of fans' feelings?
Hope not, but wouldn't be surprised. Scottish football needs to take the chance to weed out bad practices and over reliance on the OF. Yes, a few clubs including my own, could go to the wall but things would eventually settle at a sustainable level. If Sevco get into either SPL or SFL1 then we will be faced with the same situation again very soon.
Loving the fact that apparently Scottish football can't survive without Rangers, yet only a few years ago the OF moving to England was going to make Scottish football more competitive in the long run lol.
i dont think they will vote today, think they will stall till after SFL meeting next week
BTW the two scenrios you give arnt excatly the same are they, with us (celtic) still here its not unreasonable to assume the league tittle is unnatainable for all the other club, if both us and sevco where not around then the league would be far more compedative ( & interesting?)

Fair enough on your second point. As for the first, it could go on forever, as the SFL haven't got anything definite to vote on until the SPL officially decide on whether they'll let Sevco in

SPL (https://twitter.com/#%21/search/%23SPL) clubs have voted NO to a Newco Rangers being allowed to play in the SPL
BBC Scotland has learned that 10 of the 12 clubs were in opposition, with Kilmarnock abstaining and Rangers voting in favour. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18703183

Hawkeye again ......
Goal-line technology is set to get the go-ahead when the International Football Association Board (IFAB) vote on Thursday over whether to use it.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18719396
Hawk-Eye designers have told Rangers they can't use the system next season. Apparently it doesn't work with goal posts made from jumpers.
****** farce
http://blogs.channel4.com/alex-thomsons-view/rangers-vote/2201
(i) That the Scottish Football League Members agree to admit Sevco Scotland Limited as an Associate Member and agrees to permit Rangers F.C. to play in the League during Season 2012/13.
(ii) That the Scottish Football League Members direct the Board of Management of The Scottish Football League (the “Board”) to provide that Rangers F.C. shall play in the Third Division of the Scottish Football League during Season 2012/13 unless the Board shall have to its satisfaction negotiated and reached agreement with The Scottish Premier League and The Scottish Football Association on a series of measures which the Board shall consider to be in the best interests of the game, how it is structured, how it is governed and how it is financed, whereupon the Board shall be authorised to provide that Rangers F.C. shall play in the First Division of the Scottish Football League during Season 2012/13.
Its only a proposal J - can't see the minnows backing it. Having said that, 40 of the 41 member clubs would be financially better off it was Div 1.
Its only a proposal J - can't see the minnows backing it. Having said that, 40 of the 41 member clubs would be financially better off it was Div 1.its a stich up basically it gives the clubs the option to vote them into the SFLbut then leave it to the board to decide which league they will go in
rules are being broken left right and center to accommodate the shower of crooked swindlers, the establishment have colluded for years to keep this lot going nothing changes
new name same auld ....

Should have said that was opinion not fact. I know its not easy to quantify but in my opinion outwith Celtic the loss of TV money if Rangers were absent for at least 3 years will have a greater affect than any gains at the turnstiles. Personally, I still hope that Div 3 is the decision (and not automatically - other clubs should have the chance to apply)
How does the loss of tv money affect the SFL?
How does the loss of tv money affect the SFL?they get around 30,000 each (iirc) from the settlement when league split
Not buying it. It'll get made up in gate receipts, sponsorship and hospitality. All the scaremongering so far has been proven wholly inaccurate.

You might be right, i'm not convinced. Only time will tell.
In advance of tomorrow's meeting - does anyone have any idea why Dundee don't get a vote (conflict of interest) but Dunfermline do? I thought Club 12 was still to be decided.
No-one's been able to answer that so far.
Clydes statement on the hole voting farce is a cracker

well worth a read
Peterhead's was good as well.
Very disappointed in Brechin City, no surprise given the amount of Rangers fans around though.
being reported servo allowed to join div 3
believe it when I see it

http://oi46.tinypic.com/k97wz.jpgfactually incorrect servo have been catapulted up to. Div 3 but funny none the less
25 clubs voted against div 1 there was also 1 club voted against them entirely

can't believe terry got away with it. Absolute travesty
The magistrate seemed to think there was sufficient evidence to prove racist intent. The Suarez precedent seems to suggest the FA only care whether the words were said or not, regardless of intent.

In criminal court it has to be proved beyond reasonable doubt.... basically Terry probably called Anton a ******* black ******* but they couldn't be proved beyond reasonable doubt.
Suarez would have been cleared in criminal court too for same reasons
Suarez got the book thrown at him by the FA though so if the FA don't take action against Terry then they are hypocrites basically.
Just re-read my post above - i meant to put insufficient
Normal service restored in the City of Dundee today... :shades:
Does that mean you want them in the SPL for a season?
Personally? No.
But yes for football reasons.
Sky Sports would like to apologise to all subscribers for wrongly advertising they could watch Rangers in 3D.
They meant Rangers in D3.

Just seen our potential Europa League opponents, talk about needing a guide book...you can work out the UEFA website?, nigh on impossible to get info from there all i could work out is yur in Q3
Either Liverpool, Young Boys of Berne, Dinamo Moscow, Steaua Bucharest, CSKA Sofia, Bursaspor, ND Mura 05 (from a Slovenian backwater) or Zimbru Chisinau (Moldova). Not Moscow please, a nightmare logistically and financially.
potentially some interesting trips right enough, you could end up in some scarey backwards hell hole riddled with criminals & social misfits, but there is only a 12% chance of drawing the scousers ;)

Drunks lobbing stuff down on them. They took exception.is that from your main stand, was. Being reported it was your suits who where involved, Muppet running on the field isn't so bad think it was about a £7000 fine we got for that
We've got previous though J. Dinamo fans had the wee bottom tier of the Fair Play stand that the away fans are normally in, with United fans above.
I don't get why these clowns do it, your there supporting club you know your club suffers if your out of line , gutted for yous these clowns ruin the day
