What a day of tennis. So much to see all day I'm only finding time to post now. And I hardly know which thread to be on! But Dan! What a pulsating match. The tennis from both of them was fabulous. Poor Dan. He's going to take a while to get over that one, but I hope he realises how much love and support he now has, the reward for putting his heart and soul into it and for working hard to get this far. Lots for him to go for when they move to the hardcourt swing across the pond. I think he has now risen to 56? in the live rankings. I can hardly believe the first week of Wimbledon is over, where on earth did the week go? It's been absolutely incredible, so many stories, shocks, upsets and drama. And we still have Andy there! What's not to like!

I was watching - I think Dan wasn’t quite ‘on song’ and things didn’t seem to be working for him but Nishioka was playing really well and things WERE working for him!:sad:

Dan has lots to be proud of. I'm certainly very proud of him. He did all he could today against a rampant Fed. Also the scheduling was unfortunate to say the least. He had very little time to recover from his tough match yesterday. As Dan continues to rise up the rankings, I look forward to the day when he will be British #1. Not so far off methinks. :big grin:

According to commies, Federer asked for first match on today when usually he requests the night match as he knew Dan would be tired from yesterday. Don't see how that can be fair. Also Federer has a habit of asking upcoming players to go and stay with him for practice, but commies saying this is partly so he understands how they play more.
